you might need to turn on access to the drive if it was not installed during the boot disc set up. go into "disc management" and activate the drive. you can get their by right clicking, "my computer" and using the tab, "manage"

you problem my just be that the drive doesn't have a letter allocation yet.

The only option not grayed out is "Convert to Dynamic Disk"

okay, their are two places you can right click and i forgot to mention that. the aria with the disc number is one; the aria with the disc name and letter is the other. make sure to right click the aria that should ave a letter on it and probably doesn't yet. it should give you the option, "mark partition as active." if that doesn't work, try, "change driver letters and paths..."

i hope this works and it was just a lack of info. i was in kinda a rush before. ^^;

Oi...I found out why it's not working. It's in a "Mac OS" format. I don't have another TB harddrive and nothing as big as it! If I format it I lose the information.

i would say go to a computer store and ask them if their is a way to pull and convert the data and if they could do it. most small computer businesses will because it doesn't cost them anything and it improves costumer relations. just be sure to find a little in town one instead of like geek squad of something.

sorry i didn't think of the format myself, but i hope you can save the data. i don't know a way to convert like that, but i think the land of techy is your only hope. ^^:

Fixed! I've formatted the hard drive, and I got the data on it on my old Mac. Thanks for the help! I wouldn't of been able to find disk management X3

i'm so happy i was of some help at least. ^^ if you have any more pc questions, i'm pretty good with basics though i don't know win 7 too well. ^^: i can at least help a lot with hardware installation and bios functions. ^^
