It occured to me recently that a lot of the time stories and poetry and the like get less views then visual arts. So i decided to check my galleries stats and see if that was the case. It turns out that my most viewed one is my first submission though that could be due to the large amount of time its been here.
Though i did find that my piece of visual art has gotten half of the view of my most viewed submission in only a couple of days (even if it hasent gotten a single comment or fave) and that my stories have gotten the second most views out of any of my submissions.

First off, I know that the count system is somewhat broken. I've seen submissions with two or even three times more faves than views, so something is wrong somewhere.
Apart from that, it seems having a cute, easy to see animal in the thumbnail helps. A lot of it is still pretty random though; I've had pieces get double the views of another with the same thumbnail, and both uploaded at the same time of day.
You're definitely right about visual art being more popular too. I like to think people who read are more likely to care about what they view though. *Is hopeful, but deluded* XD
