Because the situation called for some irony
15 years ago
So the renovation company came out yesterday ( Sunday ) to deal with the flood aftermath. They ripped out all the carpeting and the padding underneath and hauled it away. All the whatchamacallit lining along the walls had to be ripped off, too. They removed tiles from the laundry room, the kitchen, entry, etc. etc. Set up giant fans to try and dry put the walls and cement foundation, etc. etc.
Well, while drilling, they drilled right through our main water pipe line for the house, so now we have no water. So we went from being flooded ankle-deep in water to no water. We called a plumber, who for some reason, did not have the correct piping to replace the kind that goes in newer homes. What? And no one else would come out that late on a Sunday. So we are going to have to go without water for at least 24 hours. To get ready for work, I literally squatted in the bathtub and washed myself with bottled water. It was ridiculous. We can't flush the toilets, so we've designated a "piss toilet" and are leaving the other 2 unused. And if you have to go Number 2, well, you better get your shoes and your hat coz you're going to the Arco station.
I've got only 90 minutes to nap before I go to my next job and I can't sleep over the sound of the damn industrial fans all over the house trying to dry out the walls and floors. Later today a claims adjuster is supposed to come by to see how much and what will be covered by the homeowner's insurance. Still looking at paying a $2500 deductable.
As if I wasn't feeling set back enough in my art. Now I have all this crap to deal with :/

You should tell that renovation company your not paying, on account of the extra damage they caused. Not to mention they should pay for the cost of the plumber.
God knows, I'm praying your luck turns around.
