Actually, i would be interested, however i find i have no knowledge of what type of Hard drive my computer holds. Heck, all i know is i just recently found an old 6.5 gig HD and installed it, since my main one only holds around 80 gigs O.=.o;

If you can enlighten me, what are the different types of Hard drives? and the difference in connectivity?

S-ATA is a HD that fits in the modern type of computers (production for the masses started about a year ago.) The connection isn't the long flat cable anymore, it's now usually a red or black cable and the connection looks most like a '¬' .

Same goes for the power supply on those new disks: thet share the same ¬ .

And of those connections you need both power and connectivity on your motherboard, or a PCI-card that has those connections. Power-supply can be converted, but the connection data-wise cannot.

it does immensely, especially that my computer's motherboard does not have PCI express....it has the AGP style. *le sigh* maybe saving up for that one computer on ibuypower would have indeed been cheaper that what i did to upgrade mine. blegh....accursed technology! i want my wings so i can just visit peoples. lol.
