Erf...what to do from here? ;.;
15 years ago
I had second thoughts at the start
I said to myself "Hold on to your heart"
Now I know the man that you are,
You're wonderful so far, and it's more than I hoped for
3 problems rearing their head up again now that i'm back in school, but this time school is important- I'm in college now.
Speech problem: Although it was slight at first, it's seeming to get worse. In casual conversation I'm slurring my words often, stuttering and stumbling over sentences despite knowing what I want to say. I just can't physically get it OUT and it's really bothering me. ;.; I have to orally present a research paper later this semester, and then next semester I've got a speech class to take... I've had this since...god, I don't know when it started. Years ago. I don't know if I had it as a kid, I don't remember. I had it all through high school, maybe middle school?
Is there any kind of help available that I could find through school? I'm in a community college, vs a uni..
ADD: Big time. So far with math it isn't so bad. But it's bad with English...Bobkitty saw just how bad it was for me when I was trying to write an essay. I was getting distracted with everything everywhere, and even if there wasn't anything to distract me I still stopped working on it and laid back and whined about it, losing focus and then having to go back to it over and over..
Handwriting/motor: Specifically in my right-wrist. I might be dysgraphic, I show all the signs of it but I lack the official diagnosis. Overall though, I get really bad cramps from writing even just a little bit, my handwriting is very messy and despite having a tight grip my words come out "loose". Typing fixes that, but what about class work where I can't print something out?
I want help for these, but I don't know where to go for it. My grade is actually suffering because of the speech problem specifically : I get self concious about it so I don't speak up in class anymore...and then my participation grade goes downhill. :/
I want serious suggestions please guys... I'm desperate for some solutions.
