Yup markings are definitely a start, runic silvery glowy things on any body catch anyones attention.

Maybe have a unique ability, a tri tongue or prehensile horns.

Slight body fluff that matches your hair on your scales would give you an eastern-western hybrid mix. Not totally in yet, but apparently its going that way.

A hidden body part (not necessarily extras, maybe just hidden under soft scales) that hides a gem or personal item of significance.

Abilities tend to go underrated. Characters can be classified by what they do with what they have. try different positions with wings horns etc.

symboles and color and physical special effects. i dunno its you character usualy a person has to figure it out. i know my bat has this apearence of a cow cuz of his colors and spots.

*Thinks* Well, attire is always good. Necklace, earrings, fingerless gloves, stuff like that. Some markings, not all just like birthmarks or colouring, like maybe a few scars. Uhm...*Thinks what else* Choose a cool hairstyle. As Kuro-Kai said, have an ability. And also, give 'em an attitude. ^_^ Some theme to the pictures.

i find that true unique-ness is found within the details.

The eyes - what color are they? are they turquoise with black splotches? are they a deep green with a vertical black iris, and red diagonal lines within the iris?

the scales - are they brittle at the end? are they flaky an can be shed? Are they incredibly resilient with a soft sheen that emanates a red glow/aura around your figure? are there runic markings on each scale?

the hair - is it like a horse's main and travels down the spine, or a human's which grows only around the cranium?


Horns - where are they located? how powerful are they? retractable? color, shape, curvature... maybe instead of pure ebony, they have neon red lines that spread through the horn like cracks and fissures?

the tail - Is the tail long enough to wrap around the waist of a lover? long enough to tease others? prehensile enough to hang from? Strong enough to destroy buildings in a fell swoop? Is the tip of it a spade? Is it lined with horns? does it have a mane to it that starts at the base of the tail? maybe even a tail-phallus? huh? huh??

The genitals - have fun with it! testicals on the inside or outside? Does the phallus have spurrs or knots in it? Or how about some ridges and bumps to stimulate the recipient? Length, girth, likeness? Not all shlongs have to look like a human shlong.. i personally find the human penis to look boring after all the pronz i have seen XD.

anyone can be a red dragon X feet tall that weighs X pounds with X body build. You have the power and artistic creativity to make yourself as unique as you crave to be - you just have to think about it, desire it, and let it become you.

Perhaps a rather detailed backstory would help you come up with something new to add to him?

I must be one of the more unique characters on here, everyone's done stripes, everyone's done horns, everyone's done multicock.. how about an orange ish panther like spot pattern that trace downwards like flames?? or 4 wings? or a row of sharp blades on each arm?

I agree with this. Make him alive. Some scars from a motorcycle accident... An earring or a piece of jewelry I think is hot, such as a chain with some kind of symbol pendant on it.

See - I like being sorta nondescript... I'm just mostly orange and fuzzy. No stripes, markings, improbable genitalia, tattoos, mutations, morphs... I like the fact that I can 'blend in' and not really stand out. It lets me place myself in a wide variety of scenarios, and I can rely on my personality rather more than my physical appearance. Though I do like my tail... *floofs*

hmmm... well, yeah, the wing idea is good... if i had a scanner, i would upload my idea for a good wing colour sceam for your dragon. but alas, no scanner ;_;. oh well, hope u think of something, im sure it will look good though, they always do ;3.

I like your char a lot, i´m not sure if i mentioned it before, but the way you colour your char ( especially on that sole piccie draggy posing ), gave him some awesome patterns over all the body, i thought you meant them, so, maybe defining them would help?. Instead of a tradicional pair set of wings, how about two pairs?, like, upper pair, large, and the lower apir tiny, like, some flying ace hawtness here, well, just raining ideas... hope you find your sweet personal touch to ..yourself XD

Maybe some tribal arm marks, just like the ones from god hand.

Well, wings would be a start. :P
But if you don't want that (for whatever reason), spikes on his body could work. You could say, have a row of them going down your back all the way to the tip of the tail. Or put spikes on his elbow, or ones that jut out near his wrist as if they were blades.
Or, give him a different tailtip, like a spade or something like that.
You could give him plates on his underbelly, or have hard scales on various locations (like shoulders or something).
There's also scars you can add as defining marks (and you can make up a backstory around it, too!), or simply markings on his body, like stripes, or runes.

Or look at different animals and try to take physical features from them. Can't think of any, though...

I do like how your character looks as-is though. I don't think he looks plain. :P

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this one yet but try a different style.
I've seen this a few times with people re-vamping their characters and all they did was change the way they drew them, like using new drawing/shading/colouring techniques they've learned on older characters, it works try that before you try to rebuild their whole identity.

I say go along with some markings, too.

Markings like, maybe a tattoo you like or something that describes you, and esp. anything that you think looks hot or awesome. Like your pic with "MALE BITCH" written on your flank, that was.. well, you know. ;>
Scars, from anything, can help give your character a personality, ot YOUR personality. Give him a birthmark like you have, if you have one maybe.
Different hair and hairstyles/furstyles, whatever, help.

Anything immediately noticeable physically is a good stand-out from the crowd. Tails, ears, wings.

If you want to give him more a personality than just make him look different, you need to add more of what you want him to be, or more of yourself, in. Somehow.. x>
