so for whatever reason Capcom decided to start the series over, now with more GRIT and a black haired Dante

granted it doesn't look bad but I kinda dont see the point in starting it over
what really worries me though is that Capcom themselves isn't developing it :X

im still scratching my head over why they're rebooting in the first place. There's only been 4 games and the series has been around for a good 9 years. They could've just expanded on Nero at least :V
Why is Dante being redone as some skinny dark-haired guy? (He was one of the only cool older guys who didn't act like an emo pansy in video games) Did Reuben piss someone off?
It even looked to have a higher level of...ugh... realism... than the DMC's from before. The art direction in the last couple of games was nothing short of spectacular. Now they look as though they're aping Silent Hill. Where's the style? Where's the ridiculous monsters? Where is the out-loud attitude of the immortal half-devil we've all come to love? Why in hell's name does he have a chain blade that isn't as tall as he is?
Did someone beg for DMC to make sense, because it isn't supposed to. Did someone ask for it to be more generic so that anyone could insert themselves in Dante's place, I hope not because Dante was one of the few characters who lacked depth but made up for it with his singular personality.
I would have been intrigued if they said this was Dante's son or something or a new protagonist they moved onto from Nero. But so far, I'm not exactly sure what to make of this. I'm confused a little pissed. I love Devil May Cry, but if they screw this up(pardon the anime catchphrase) I will never forgive them.
YES OR NO
This is why they'll reboot even a 20 year old franchise.
