system recovery

I had to do a system recovery of my laptop. I saved everything (I hope) except my bookmarks. I totally forgot about them.

Now they're gone...

I is sad. T_T

I was meaning in general, like comics, art sites, etc. That way we can help him in some way, shape or form you know.

aww That's happen to me when i had to reformat my mom and dads computer lost all the bookmarks they had and, still not hearing the last of it ether from them XP

Argh! I know the pain of losing a whole bunch of bookmarks myself. I downloaded some Firefox addon called Xmarks that regularly syncs your bookmarks to backup so you can restore them if shit like this happens.

I always save a copy of my bookmarks in a separate computer, the same with my pictures and important videos and documents. In fact all of my computers have basically the same stuff on them so if I do lose a computer I should have a backup with most of what I have except for the most recent additions on another.

Had to reinstall the desktop and I didn't have any of my bookmarks bookmarked either. Probably for the best I suppose... At least I still know where to find my favourite webcomics.

I believe they were lost in the system restore, but firefox stores backups of your bookmarks without an extension, you just have to know where to look. C:\Users\*name*\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*random numbers & letters*\bookmarkbackups
AppData will be a hidden folder, you'll have to enable displaying hidden files/folders to get through this.
