Bisexuality says, "I love boys and girls." For those of us who acknowledge that there are more sexes and genders, we don't like the word "bisexuality". It also lends an air that we don't care what's between your legs. We fall in love with what's between your ears.

Saying we "go around fucking anything" is unfair, because it makes us sound like we're sex addicts or something. Just because I can fuck any gender or sex doesn't mean I do.

I was meaning it to say that pansexuals say Bis do that, which is unfair.

I haven't heard any pansexuals say such things. I've only spoken with other pansexuals online, however- All of my real life friends are either straight or gay/lesbian.

People are gonna have different definitions for whatever word you throw out there.

I consider myself pansexual and, TO ME, that definition entails:

Being less sexually attracted to physical appearance/genetic sexuality and being more attracted to personality. Sex doesn't really take the spotlight in what a pansexual looks for in a potential partner; it's more looking for a compatibility on a mental/personal level that what's between their legs.

I'm pansexual and yes, basically it is the same thign as bisexual, only I define the thing that sepreates both being that bisexualism is still kinda influenced by gender and appearance, i.e. bisexuals often having a leaning and based on looks, whereas pansexuals are more platnoic in the way that they don't have a leaning and are more personality based.

Well, bi means two, as in each person you fall for is either man or woman. Pan indicates every possible mid register combination, such as mid-op transsexuals or people born between sexes - not entirely sure here, but I think pansexual indicates gender /sex simply doesn't affect the statistics of who you fall for.

The reason I say I'm bisexual and not pansexual is because gender seems to matter for me. As part of a combination of traits, but still. Though I have to admit, I am tired of the absolute divide people think exist between men and women, as though it were clear lines in nature and not just working definitions.
