Only on the west coast would there be slow drivers. On the right coast, it's Death Race.

The highway going through the major city here IS a real death race.
20 km long, two lanes, contunuous curves, bridges and galleries all the time, and it contunuously goes up and down, looks kinda like a rollercoaster (still no loop-de-loop though).

The speed limit is 80 kmh, but if you don't want to stay blocked behind huge trucks trudging uphill at 60 you have to go in the second lane... where everyone goes at 110, and that's the tricky part because in the curves trucks always take up a bit of the second lane so you have like 4 meters of space between a truck and the wall, yet you have to go at 110 unless you want the others to flash lights and honk at you.

Me too. Back home, WA drivers would not survive where I used to live. You'd have some rednecks coming out of their trucks with chains and a baseball bad. "Watcha think yer doin ya city slicker..."

I JUST finished having the same problem here in Massachusetts with a pick-up truck on a two-lane toad driving WAYYYyyy too damned slow--not even hazard lights on. I passed him on dotted lines. Later, when we were at lights--he had the balls to honk at me IMMEDIATELY as the light turned green before I could even accelerate. Needless to say, I took my time getting up to speed without going so slow as to punish anyone behind him. Asshole drivers are everywhere--not just on the west coast.

Oh, you realized they suck too? I used to be angry at the occasional cut off back home, but geez. Apparently they think a clean U-turn is illegal because it hinders their speed. Pedestrians get angry at YOU for following the law, and cyclists have free reign because, well, they said so. And since I've been here I have yet to know how many almost bump into me because they weren't paying attention.

I can't wait to move back. o.o

I love that WA driver get EVEN worse when it rains. WTF. If there is anywhere in the country that should be adapted to wet driving... it should be WA. I'll never understand.

Haha that is way too true. The rain isn't like it is back in NC. It doesn't rain as many days, but we'd get horrible storms with power cutting out and crazy hail. People have enough sense to slow down and the ones who do speed get yelled at. But here, yeah no one slows down... I think they became desensitized to it all. It's nice to know that people think the same way I do. Most of them may as well have a sign that says "Manners: DO NOT WANT."

I am terrified of bicycles here, because they ride right in the goddamn road for some reason and I have this fear I'm going to run one over some day and get sued out of existence.

There are some roads with no bike routes. Technically we're meant to share the road, but what if there's barely any road to share? Some places have cars parked in the most ridiculous areas. I really don't get this state, lol.
