tempting, but the whole no changes thing is a bit off putting, I often prefer to have some input into a artwork before it´s done, it´s my investment after all.

I can understand that, it is a sketch commission as well and if you take a look at the form I do ask for specifics of descriptions and stuff, so to make sure there is no confusion :) but again, I understand your point of view.

Wow! Either you're incredibly unlucky, or you and I don't use 'problem' in the same way. I've done dozens of commissions this summer, and I wouldn't say any of them had problems, but again, I may be interpreting it differently.

well problem free in the context of the subject, as in problem free meaning not having to tell the artist "change that please, his eye colour is this" etc.

Oh, ok. I don't see those really as problems, they're just part of the creative process. I had back-and-forths on most of the commissions I had this summer, it's just par for the course, y'know? It's kind of like getting a tailor-made costume or suit -- there are going to be a few tweaks made before it's finally done, because it has to fit right.

Fudchan's exemption of the back-and-forth stage from this batch of commissions is what makes these commissions relatively cheap compared to other artists of her caliber. A friend of mine commissioned her recently, and took a chance -- he gave her a good description of each character, and a few ideas, and she went with it; he was well rewarded, I think the piece came out spectacularly. Artists often do their best work when given more creative freedom.

I see you've taken her up on it -- I trust you'll be happy with the results. I think once you give her a good mental picture of what you're after, letting her work the piece end-to-end without interruption is ideal for best results, or so it is evident to me on seeing what she did for others.

(note: I'm calling her her, but I have no idea what her gender truly is; even her PayPal name is androgynous)

Because I might do one for my new incarnation of my fursona, but that means I´ll be using a lot of vague sketches and ref pictures that might not 100% get across what I want.

I realize my character has a lot of options, being a shapeshifter and all, so I'm awaiting your decision on whether to take on the commission, and perhaps what you might have planned for it (if inspiration has already hit you, you fortunate person you). I know some artists don't like the open-endedness that may come with such characters, so I'm leaving you the option of bowing out...

That said, if it turns out well (and I wholly expect that it would, should you go for it), I have a few other projects which could use your skills...

For the first idea (I hope I didn't give you too much info in the form), not sure how you want to handle the "extra characters". I mentioned they didn't need to be full bodied-- it would really depend on the composition you'd like to follow. Either way, I'd be happy to cover the full $8 fee($4 per extra char, x2 for two?).
