1. He looks to be like a scientist, even without his lab coat.
2. Blue fur and the fact that you've mentioned that he's got a cybernetically enhanced brain as opposed to more radical cybernetic augmentation
3. He seems young but needs a cane. He also seems to espouse radical ideas, such as "not very authoritarian governments."
4. More of him in art. You mentioned he owned and ran Unravel Industries, how about him posing with staff/family in front of the building HQ, or even beside some of his more "humanitarian" inventions, as I don't get the warmonger/warlord vibe from him. He's more of the philanthropist scientist to me in my opinion.
5. Pondering the quandary that was that incident involving a certain busty nation
6. He looks "mature," but not "old," I'd say very late 20's at the youngest possible, more like the early to mid 30's, to early 40's at the oldest
7. Let's see, blue, smart, well dressed, respectable, not a horrible person, oh, I'd say... 10
8. He's more of the "sexy" in terms of quality/stability/respectability" than of the "stud" type, so 10 in the first example I gave, but around a 5 in the latter one.
9. I actually haven't made the effort to get to know (though I really should do that, as you seem to by my kind of peer), but since you mention that you're a serious student and you draw military gear, and Des is a scientist and military equipment design oriented, I'd say between 7.5, maybe an 8 if you think a cybernetically enhanced brain is something you actually would consider getting if it was safe and available.
10. As above, I would prefer to get to know you a bit better before I give this a solid answer, but he seems to be a fitting alter-ego for you from what I can consider.
