As do I. Thats another reason why I'm posting this journal. I like stories with actual 'story' in them, porn or not. Hoping to see if there are other furs around who think the same.

its always good to read a story that has some substance to them. aside from just going straight to the yiff and messy end and then just dropping it.

I'm always a fan of fantasy reading and quite enjoyed the stories Kyell Gold did. I'd read any fantasy you'd put out.

Well I definitely hope my stories would be considered good. Fantasy is my preferred genre to write in, so I'm hoping to see if I'm actually any good at it.

Nothing wrong with a story like that that mixes in the occasional porn to keep it exciting, but the real truth is the story has to be good enough on its own to warrant someone to continue to read, regardless of porn or not.

I have read novels I loved that had no porn, and I have read pure pulp thats only goal was to be porn - and in both cases, the key factor was - "Do I get involved and engaged enough by this mentally to continue"

In some cases, a story meant just to be a pulpy porn has been good enough on its own merits for the story that i found myself blowing thru the actual porn to find out what happens next - a case where the story itself dominated the sex.

In the end, the reality is what you write will find you new fans, and estrange old ones - no one is the same on what they find in a written work that works for them, so the key is to just put it out there, and let the chips fall. Write for yourself in what you want to say.

If you sweat out every angle that might chase some off, so you dont gain more from what you write, then you have cheated yourself.

YES for Fur's sake! Writing should have plot and whatnot. Raw, messy porn has its place, but I much prefer an story that's actually readable and draws me in. sci-Fi, Fantasy, and horror (though modern views on that are little more than jump in your face and surprise you, not truly scare you), are great genre's.
