. can you feel the sunshine? does it brighten up your day? . okay.
so, in my krav class, we've recently been asked to bring in some CDs to play during our exercises. the only catch is it has to be an hour long and "workout appropriate" (aka, yani probably wouldnt suffice).
i wanna make 3 different CDs:
a - METAL (or punk)
b - chiptune (both game and original artist creations)
c - dubstep/dnb
you guys have any band (or just song) suggestions on what i should burn on these cd? i already have a couple of song in mind for each, but anything helps.
i wanted to "surprise" my class...

You can get a good collection of dubstep artists through the Dubfluencial albums, which are here. I recommened getting Dubfluencial 7. It's got artists like Datsik, Ego Bandits, Cookie Monsta, Giant who are all pretty good. Some of the really popular names in dubstep are Borgore, Nero, Caspa, & Mt. Eden Dubstep, though a lot of people reckon they're pretty overhyped.
i actually dont know too much about dubstep beside the fact that i like it XD
You're welcome!
They suck pretty bad but their music is good for gunning people down in foreign countries. I guess it should suffice for getting pumped up for a workout, or freaking out the people around you. :D
Suggestion made!
a black flag song that sounds like it was recorded in a cave http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oV4x8qD7enQ
some melvins/jello biafra crossover http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVvPhYtd0U8
some nomeansno (possibly inappropriate for school if it is 1950??) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8Vpcjiy60o
these are my punky contributions i don't listen to chiptunes or dubstep really
Also, Kid Whatever's "Will DJ For Beer" (Freebie download I believe on his website # is a little under an hour, and/or you can grab the other tracks from that CD. Not quite dubstep or dnb, but it is fast-paced with quite a bit of bass.
Deadmau5 has some good heavy bass stuff.
Might be harder to find, but anything by Datsik, Cyb0rk, Flux Pavilion...those guys are pretty good for dubstep too.
For the punk/metal....
More ska than punk, but Streetlight Manifesto has some good upbeat stuff.
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes do punk covers of tons of older songs. Really fun band actually.
Dunno what chiptunes are, but hope this helps.
Anything by them and their related bands, for one
Anything be EXCISION AND DATSIK will make you wanna shit yourself with how tight it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deCsUsiFp2Y
