. can you feel the sunshine? does it brighten up your day? . sooo.
seeing as ive become bored with pokemon diamond (i'm on victory road and just havent picked it up in months), i'm thinking of doing the "NUZLOCKE Challenge" for my copy of HG.
i've been stuck readng the comics all day and think that its a really interesting take on playing the games.
for those who dont know (but might care), the purely NUZLOCKE rules are as follows:
- Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released.
- Player may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else.
varied and optional rules include:
- Adjusting the first encounter rule to ban duplicate captures.
- Considering a black out/white out to be "game over," even if there are Pokémon left in the PC.
- Banning the use of potions and healing items, relying only on Pokémon Centers for healing.
- Banning the use of Pokémon Centers, relying only on potions and healing items for healing.
- Limiting Pokémon Center visits to a certain number per town.
- Banning the use of held items.
- Limiting the number of Poké Balls to purchase per Poké Mart.
- Banning the use of Master Balls.
Has anyone here ever done the NUZLOCKE CHALLENGE? if so, how did the quest go for you? did you have to restart a lot?

Bad end.
So far my Charmeleon and Pikachu are running strong. My Pidgey and Jigglypuff didn't last no time though.
you dont have to follow ALL the rules, just the first two.
any additional rules are up to you.
Oh, and you can combine a couple of those rules and come up with NO POTIONS OR BERRIES OR POKEMARTS JUST SOFTBOILED HOPE YOUR CHANSEY DOESN'T DIE :D
