lol yeh that's hilarious. if you're gonna block someone, you're better off to have the mind to figure out they're not worth your time in the first place, BEFORE the drama starts, and block them only if they are spamming you when you want nothing to do with them.
That person, obviously, is a child. Maybe not physically, but mentally they are.

And only an idiot would block you. If they block you they can't see your submissions. Personally I'd never want to do that, cause I like your style and particularly your icons/gifs you make. :P

Well you can go look at submissions, but I figure if someone is blocked it doesn't show their submissions if they're watched. But I could be mistaken. I don't have any actual artists blocked, myself. So even if they were on my watch list they don't post any submissions to see anyways.

But you're right, you can see them. But block and watch should be pretty much mutually exclusive, imo.

Hmm ya, I think you can still watch them. I don't know if anyone's blocked me before, but I know I've blocked a couple people and they can still fav my stuff and everything, so I'd guess they can see my submissions too.

Personally, I haven't blocked anybody on FA.

I try and argue/debate like a normal human being, and if it gets out of hand, I drop it.

Lol I was however preemptively blocked by someone who drew hate art for a friend of mine so that I couldn't come in and defend them with rationale and logic.

This happens to me all the time. I've gotten to where I find one of their friends and let them pass a little message on. They usually unblock me for a few minutes to rage on me, then block me again. Haha it's kinda funny.

I usually only block people as a last resort. I only block people if they start spamming my submissions/journals with offensive comments.

This other art site I'm on, there's this woman there who will block anyone if their username or behavior looks like a troll, even if they are not even a troll or spammer.

She blocked my friend on there just because she gave her a critique, just generally trying to be helpful. Apparently if you don't like her art, she blocks you, lol

I got blocked by the infamous Zeriara/Seux because I told her one of the characters in her picture looked like they were going to fall backward because the pose was awkward and threw the balance off. Nothing very insulting and she said 'That's just silly' and blocked me right away. Not even giving me a chance to explain myself.

Since apparently troll = someone with a differing opinion.

I label someone a troll when they insult the artist because of the material he/she posted, spam (in capslock), harass people for the sake of it, etc etc.
Someone expressing their personal opinion in a reasonable, decent way is by no means a troll.
My submissions are clearly labeled with their content in the thumbnail and key words, if people are easily offended they shouldn't click further if they see a warning about content they don't like.

My favorite moment had to be when  Darixenous left a shout on my page saying he <i>wasn't</i> going to block me because I was one of the only people who was actually trying to reason with him while he was being a complete fucking idiot.

Moments later he posted a new journal that I felt the need to comment on, so I typed up my response, hit Post, and BAM, I was blocked.

I just giggled. It kind of made my day.

Haha! So he played out the nice guy like 'i'm not blocking you' then did it anyway so you couldn't post on a new journal? And no one would know unless you told them you were blocked and I bet everyone who saw that assumed he was being a 'cool guy'.

I get my share of jackasses who start shit but then assume they've got the right to finish it by acting like the 'bigger man' and saying "I'm not going to continue this childish debate" , but only after they've helped themselves to putting in the last word. They don't want to apologize or just 'agree to disagree.'

If someone strikes you as a jackass early on during a discussion, keep it over their head so they think they're winning. Let them go on and make their ridiculous point, save the conversation log, let it age like fine wine, and enjoy it with friends.
