History Channel....why???

You've all heard the news recently, right? About the bridge in MN. It's horrible, I understand, and my heart goes out to all those involved....
BUT....
Why must the history channel interrupt its regular scheduling to put in a documentary called "Why Bridges Collapse" or something like that- an hour-long program on the history of bridges collapsing across America.
The History Channel is one of the only TV channels I watch on a regular basis, and I gotta say this is a bit disappointing. Although they did do the same after Katrina, if I recall correctly...like every other channel at the time as well.
Channels exploiting the disaster of the week for ratings hikes make me sad :(

You know how it is. Death is a tragedy. Many deaths are more tragedies.

Aslo it is used to ease people's fears in a way. Yes bridges collapse it's horrible, but people want to know why, and what will be done about it and what has been done. It's to show no one is perfect but we will learn from this to help prevent it agian.

For some reason tragedy is entertainment. It's all about the money.
