Do not bother with the YouTube version, it does no justice to this. At the very least, download the "Small" DivX. It's only 100MB, and it's beautiful.
Every couple of years, the Blender Foundation embarks on a short-movie project to showcase the capabilities of the Blender 3D suite and other open source software in the creation pipeline (while improving said software along the way). Their previous released work, Big Buck Bunny, I've mentioned here before. The latest, entitled "Sintel", was released just a few days ago. Click the link above.
The scalies in particular will appreciate this one. But so should everyone. Just don't expect it to be as light-hearted as Big Buck Bunny was.
