I use only Seagate. Never had a single problem with their external drives. My old 500gig I got in like 2004 or 05 still works like a charm, aside from being stupidly huge. The new 800gb wallet-sized USB powered one I have now is fabulous.

I've had a seagate for probably over two years and it hasn't failed me yet. I think I got mine on amazon for like 60 bucks. It's only a 250GB, though.
