Monster's Formspring I want to commission a hanging pendant. Simple design.
If anyone knows someone capable of working with a non-gold metal (preferably pewter or silver) that has reasonable prices and is willing to create a custom piece, please comment and let me know.
What I'm after is the Symbol of Torment from the Planescape RPG (a phenomenal game that holds personal meaning for me). Just the blade though, not the woman. The design has been recreated in a tattoo here, and one craftsman made a pendant for himself that I like very much, which is here. If something close to that could be achieved, I would be most satsified.

A silversmith, or jeweler.
What you want to do, is make a mock-up of what you want out of wax. Whip up a batch of concrete/cement/grout/what have you, and let it set around the wax mock-up. Give it a couple days, and then turn upside down and apply a propane torch to melt it all out.
Zinc is a fantastic metal. Everyone has some, and it melts really low. Pennies minted post-82, for example, are mostly zinc, with a copper shell.
I think you can see where I'm going with this...
You'll want a blue benz-o-matic style torch to melt the zinc out of the pennies, and then to liquify all of the collected zinc inside of the mold. Let cool, and trim and finish with a rotary tool.
