I feel so burned out...

(A/Some) fresh (news/info/meme/question/random tidbit) from Chris R. Ingtail

There are just some things I'd like to tweet about. But my manager above me watches my Twitter account and he has already once blabbed about something work related I tweeted to our boss, so that ain't happening again.
But the thing going on with me? I just feel so burned out with my job at this moment.
Reason? My assistant sous chef blew his back out a few weeks ago. Herniated disks put him out of work for a while. Now, what this means is that I have to shift my schedule a lot, being the manager. The guy above me was able to pick up one of two of my shifts (on his and my boss' directive,) but he acts as liason between day and night shifts, so that can't happen often.
Let's also take into account the fact that we're getting busy again. We've picked up a couple new locations for our route. We also had the Hay Adams come back after being gone three months with renovation. However, their new kitchen manager wants to do everything in house. And both my boss and the guy that orders pastry for them don't want that to happen. So now we have to make all their pastry look pretty, which puts more pressure on me.
Look, I'm not saying that I don't like my job. At least not yet. But... to be honest, two weeks in the row of overtime pay really isn't what I was expecting when I took the night manager job four-five months ago.
Kinda explains why I can't get to sleep right now. That or I could stand for a shower.
I can't wait for FurFright.

Problem is that I'm the night shift manager. The guy above me works on both day and night shift (on overlap), so its tricky to have him cover for me. And my assistant sous chef has been out of commission with a bad back.
And don't get me started about the off chance my boss would cover the shift....
