Prismacolor Marker Help!
Okay, so I invested in my first few prismacolor markers, and I have little/no idea what to do with them.
Does anyone out there know of any tutorials, or would any of you kind fuzzy folk be willing to teach me a few things, so that my drawings don't get turned into blotchy messes?

Would this work? =)
and also make sure if yer inking then markering that you are using an ink that won't smudge ans run when the marker is put on (marker is a wet medium)
but practice first with a few xeroxes of a piece until you get the feel of how the marker bleeds into the paper !
my advice.....eat them :3
And blend, these things blend wonderfully...even almost-dried up ones are good to keep around! You can get that light touch of color with a near-dead marker sometimes. :)
FIrst you have you very well outlined sketch, then pick up a piece of marker paper : Letraset marker pad are the best. Place it untop and ink that drawings.
Careful way=*****YOU WONT HAVE TO SACRIFICE YOUR DRAWING TADAAAAAAA*****=
Spartan way=****YOU DRAW, INK AND MARKER ALL ON THE SAME SHEET OF PAPER.****=
Paper difference:
Big difference with regular paper and marker paper is that the reg paper will drink your marker juice like a cheap hooker and wont give you satisfying effects. Marker paper lets the fluid slide on the paper so you can produce blending effects and more.
Thinking about markers:
Thats a thing my teacher told me to keep in mind while working with markers: Think about building up patch of colors/tones to make a blending effect, don't try to go for instant finished toning gradation. You really have to go over certain areas with the same tones or weaker tones to get that effect.
as for more well it all comes as you work alot with them i guess, checkout Jill0r's tutorials and plenty others on DA, experiment and see what you like and dislike etc.
