So for once I'm on FA from my old iMac, while my shiny macbook pro is loading the install CD ...I'm really starting to think that rainy weather fucks it over, last friday it had a kernel panic at the end of the day (took about 30 seconds for it to actually do that whole 'screen greys out before saying you need to use the power button' thing that normally takes 3-10 seconds for it), and today it's just telling me to fuck off and die apparently with some random hard drive issue I only noticed because my tablet was lagging with clicks...

soon as I've got it fixed Imma format my backup drive and make a fresh shiny new backup in time machine so I don't have to worry about this in future ._.

in the time since I started writing this, I've booted to the DVD and run a disk verification...within 5 seconds I got "Error: This disk needs to be repaired. Click Repair Disk." ...fan-fucking-tastic...

In other news, the debate went well, concluding speaker at least got his presentation written up in the 90 minutes before the debate (the rest of us had it done 3-4 weeks ago) and it's turned into a little experiment for myself to find out whether the final essay for the course is generally better when done by people who have a video of their debate vs people without a video of it. I'm the first at my uni to do this in the course so yeah XD

...now I'd best be off to see what the fuck these error messages I'm seeing mean ._.


And an update: looks like my only option is to back up 310gigs through boot camp the long slow tedious way and make it shiny and new again -.- and one weekend to do it...and as a bonus I probably have work tomorrow =D shit >.<
