Which story type did you prefer in Steve & Bob? The daily short comics which started S&B or the chaptered stories which it became?

I'll be honest; I liked them both. I don't know that the shorts would have sustained as much interest as the longer story arcs you developed. The shorts could work as non-sequitur breaks from the storyline, though, like the little mini-comics in Jhonen Vasquez's "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac".

The original S&B story arc was epic and I enjoyed it immensely. I'm not sure I agree with RussArulo, though. I think that if you want S&B to be a succesful webcomic, then I think episodic shorts are the way to go. I think it's just too difficult to hold anyone's attention on the Internet. But if you plan to continue selling printed comic books, then by all means go with the story arc. I liked both, honestly.

The shorts were a great way to get my attention, but once the longer arcs started they began to develop more as characters. It'd be hard to go back to shorts now that they're all so complex...
