I think he just did it cause people know him best as a Ghostbuster.

I think the word out of Hollywood is that Ghostbusters 3 is mostly ready to be made, its just kind of lingering in production hell right now. As far as I know, though, Bill Murray agreed to do it as long as they beefed up Winston Zeddemore as a character.
