Bullying

So now the new epidemic is kids killing themselves for being bullied?
Instead of all this political correctness bullshit, whatever happened to standing up for yourself?
As skinny, quiet, weirdo fag-boy, I got plenty of bullying and called a "faggot" every day.
I learned how to level the playing field when teasing got physical. Can of aerosol hairspray and a cheap lighter, a swiftly aimed rock to the skull (followed with a promise to kill their entire family while they're sleeping and sacrifice them to Satan), and my personal favorite; the older HS douche when I was just in 8th grade ...a pocket knife to the lung. (made the paper with that one.)
*Warning: standing up against bullies may result in suspension, legal trouble, and psychological evaluations.

If I was weird it wasn't because I was trying to be different or trying "to be an individual". I got bullied plenty but I dealt with it, because everyone gets bullied.
That being said, the whole suicide thing thats going around is pretty ridiculous, and I commend you for your post.
nobody would come near me XD
amazing how much a coat freaks people out now.
or the way things are going, get you shot and beaten by the bully's possie while walking to school
Here if you injure the bully worsse than the bully injures you, guess who winds up in jail and kicked out of school...
You do...
Not the bully
especially if said bully is the son of the superintendent or principle or trustee, may or any other protected person (which they usually are)
Its called covering your ass using reasonable force (make sure the person isn't killed cause lifelong solitary confinement ain't fun), and having a good lawyer.
Cause anything less doesn't work anymore or just makes it worse and begets worse and worse violence.
The truth of the matter is, that little poke was absolutely nothing compared to things that were to come. I only speak of it now because it was a turning point, where I snapped inside and made a conscious decision to no longer be a victim.
As young as 13/14 I was pretty much told that If i ever even gave someone as much as a nosebleed I would be facing assault charges, provoked or not then expelled/punished accordingly. Irregardless of having to endure the process of being charged and the consequences after (which was as you said or even lock up) it was enough of a deterrent to me. I was forced to really learn the laws and guidelines of HOW to resolve physical situations without crossing the line 9and it worked alot better than just returning the favour).
Here even people as young as 16 do spend time in adult lock up, several of my "roommates" at that time did and wound up with serious injuries during their stays. My roomates were also capable of SERIOUS retaliation so I had to walk a fine line, several of them had 5 or 6 assault and battery convictions on them already and many were considered "dangerous". Should I have ever provoked them or got back like you did, I wouldn't be here writing this. I would have been 6 feet in the grave with a bullet in the head or a slit throat.
When the adults both had the power to, the knowledge to file charges and get convictions, and were former guards at a medium security Juvenile detention facility - you listen because they know the laws and you don't. The courts 9 times out of 10 would listen to those poeple over you no matter what your lawyer (if you had one did). So it was pretty much a guarantee of a conviction if you even raised a single finger in self defence. The consequences were determined by the severity of course but having a black mark well yeah, its pretty much over until your 25 for anything in life.
Even know as an adult in canada its the same way unless you have a damn good reason to (or a damn good lawyer)
The rules have ALWAYS reflected the criminal codes when it comes to school fights and other issues. that has been prior to the SSA and anything else in the new millennium.
