So I realized I've got a lot more watchers and I figured I'd like to know what your all listening to. I believe music is important for the mind. So if you have any new music recommendations let me know. I don't care if its something I may or may not like. I simply would like to know.
Also for some reason I've gotten into this band. I'm not sure why I like it but I've been listening to their new album non-stop for a few days.

Dulce Liquido, Antichristianos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNFUANJ_Q3M
Bad Religion
Hawthorne Heights
Infectious Maggots
NON (Boyd Rice)
Zero Kama
Hirax
Toxik
Beherit
NunSlaughter
Acid Bath
Seems like they've produced some truly great stuff regardless. I've only breezed through a couple songs of theirs but I definiately have that one album with the animal heads on my list.
Interesting note: Zero Kama's "The Secret Eye of L.A.Y.L.A.H." used only human bones to make the music.
Fucking bones, man.
There's ritualistic stuff like that everywhere, thoguh if you dig the ambient stuff in general I might reccomend Lustmord, Nortt and Falsewander. Of course, there's endless number of artists in ambient aswell. Might want to pay the local CHandler N aka MR. MK ULtra aka Nihil OBstat aka John Lithium. Doesn't hang out much on FA anymore but he's done some great stuff and still does.
Also, check out Current 93. Some song about seahorses, I think: absolutely fascinating monologue/spoken word over classical track reminiscent of Gustave Dore drawings.
Also, bones? Are you crazy? I hadn't heard that song.
I listened to "Seven Nights of Tantra." Really good one
The. Whole. Fucking. Album.
nutso.
Also, I might as well mention the obscure group of French black metal and ambient bands known collectively as the LLN or Les Legiones Noires (black legions). THeir releases are inceredibly hard to find but there are a few reliable downloads. YOu can get dragged into the mythos of it all pretty easily; it's amazing how many badns, fake bands, unreleased stuff, bootlegs and general confusion surrounds the LLN. I'd reccomend the split between Belketre and Vlad Tepes, probably the most common LLN release of raw black metal. Also sheck out "Feasts" by Black Muder, more raw black metal, any of Aakon Keetreh's work, some ambient stuff you'll either love the atmosphere of or hate the amateur quality, and moevot, some truly creepy ambient stuff that separates black ambient from dark ambient. ANything LLN might confuse the hell out of you, but it an lead to better things.
But, yeah. If you like these guys I'd recommend Radical Face and Band of Horses. They've got very similar styles.
Phoenix seems like a really interesting band.

The whole Danger Mouse/Sparklehorse thing with David Lynch is crazy. I really want to look at his visual work in the book that he came out with and the music.
