It would make me a hypocrite too if so because I basically share your same sentiment. Oddly enough I don't really have much of a problem with the reverse, FTM (gals wanting to be guys) doesn't bother me. But MTF does. Not sure why. Maybe I don't like MTF because I fucking hate most of the media targeted toward girls (music, romance novels, etc), and I don't like how most female clothes look and I don't like the "standard social role" ascribed to females by commercials, tv shows, etc. But in the end I dunno how to answer this question. :3

I wonder if cross-dressing bothers me more because most of the crossdressers I've met don't simply dress like women, but like skanky whores - wearing clothes that I'd find equally disgusting on a woman.

gay and trans-gender, are two entirely different things, one is a sexual preference, while the other is a gender identity issue. So, in my opinion and knowledge, you are NOT a hypocrite. Although, you decide on the amount you do or don't tolerate something, so that's all on you man. I personally find it a bit creepy. Although, I don't hate them, but I won't like them either, I will let them be and hope they won't be overly annoying to me. hope this was helpful.

I have a few dragon friends who wants to do "the change" MTF so... as much as i don't approve, it creeps me out, and makes me uncomfortable, as a person i like them. they are my friends. Also... cunt bois(boys), overly femme boys(bois), cross dressers all make me kinda sick in the same way. I have ALOT of gay friends so being gay doesn't bother me at all. O.o Males irl playing a female character bothers the fuck outta me too. >< oh and herms... don't like herms at all.

I think that you have a skewed view of the issue. Every single person is different and there is no way that you can understand everything people do because some people wont have the same way of thinking or the save values or beliefs that you have. The problem may be that you can't relate transgender tendencies with anything you have ever felt before and because of that you cant understand why any one would live that way.

I would say that if you sat and thought really hard about the issue you would eventually find the bare bones of what irks you about it and maybe that would help you understand yourself and others a bit better.

Ehh I'm okay with cross-dressers provided they're convincing; I mean I've talked to a chick at a fur meet only to figure out that she was a he as they were walking away (it made my brain stop). Though out of all the cross-dressers I've seen only one or two of them were convincing. The rest just looked like they'd dressed them selves in their sisters closet in the dark. However I did find it a little annoying when they were using the womens restroom at rainfurrest. I go in to the bathroom and see a rather large man in a tanktop and small skirt with what looks like a couple of oranges shoved in his shirt.

Though I don't really feel I have much room to speak on the subject considering most of my clothes were bought from the mens section (I guess by definition I'm a cross-dresser). But in my opinion your fine Red you is no hippogryph *snicker snicker*

It's funny you bring this up today. I just watched a documentary on HBO last night about transgenders in Iran. (IRAN of all places!) In Iran it's illegal and a capital offense to be homosexual, but if you're transgender and want the surgery then it's okay and they will change your birth certificate and the government will even pay for the operation. One of the Imams there who deals with Islamic law said that because the Koran does not specifically outlaw sex-change operations that it's not illegal, but since it does specifically outlaw homosexuality then that is a crime punishable by death. The post-op male-->females that were interviewed all said that the surgery is not worth it, and they wish they didn't have to do it, but without the operation they were in danger but with it they had legal protection. It was a really interesting film. The reason why I bothered telling you is that one of the women (previously a man) hates gays because the law prohibits homosexuality, but transgenders are okay because they are just correcting a mistake of nature that they happened to be born in the wrong body. To have a soul of a woman but a body of a man. If you're interested I'm sure it'll be replaying on HBO sometime, or you can probably find it on YouTube.

I never understood why it was grouped into LGB because it is a psychological pathology. I also share in your sentiment that having a "sex change" does nothing to change your sex whatsoever. Your still a dude or chick, you just made your parts look different.
