*hugs* That is a difficult decision hun, Flip a coin maybe or whoever can best take care of the dog. Though whoever gets the dog should reimburse the other party on what they put into the cost of getting the dog.

Keep the dog. It would be better for the dog rather then end up in new surroundings and become sad do to an extreme amount of changes to its environment. Plus if the person thinks that despite you wanting the animals to they get to walk away with both. Forget that bs keep the dog xD

Yeah I agree. I was being kind of a hypocrite on the matter. As long as she travels to a new location with a familiar member of her family she should be fine. Plus you could always get her a new friend to grow attached to.

Thats my thought on the matter but he thinks they shouldnt be separated (they really do love each other) but Im way too attached to this dog to just walk away from here. It wouldnt be fair that he gets to keep all the animals. He says if he were leaving hed let me have her but since its the other way around, she should stay here =/

To be honest animals can adapt quite quickly to new surroundings and even being seperated from another animal they're attatched to, they will mope around a bit after losing the close friend but they will get over it and be back to normal within about a week so I'd stand firm on it if I were you, because you're right it's not fair at all for him to get both animals when you paid half for both of them in the first place.

I hate to say this, but if you're both having money issues and have a hard time caring for the animals, I suggest taking them into an adoption centre.

But if thats not an option, then he stated he wanted the cat, so thats what he gets and you keep the dog.

Can you afford to have her shipped to Ga? Checking a dog in as bagged based on kennel size can be just as expensive as buying a normal coach ticket for yourself. If really comes down to cost. Your moving yourself, your stuff, then flying a dog? You need to make sure you have enough money before you worry about who gets her.

If you can cover the cost then, I agree if sev gets the cat then you get the dog, or vice versa.

If you both went half and half on both of the animals it's only fair you get one and he gets the other. Unless he wants to rein-burst you your half of the money then I don't see a reason why you can't have one of them.

And so what if she is moving to be closer to her family, if she went half on both animals she is entitled to them.

I wouldnt be flying her because it is super expensive. Pretty sure I wouldnt be able to afford it. And yeah, I completely agree that each of us should get a one.
