Recently, some girl got a lot of criticism over adding a window to a Kevin & Kell comic strip. This prompted a whole "oh I don't think Bill will like this/I think he will" argument - until today, when Bill Holbrook, Mr. Copyright Nazi himself, ordered that nobody shall edit his comics (or produce derivative works) thereof. This angered me - why is this guy such a copyright Nazi? People say he makes less than all these people who allow derivative/parody works. Well, what about Immelmann and Concession? Immy makes a lot less than what Bill makes on his three comic strips alone - and he allows fanworks and parodies up the wazoo.

A guy on the mailing list says that what I'm citing is called "Billycake" - as in "Why does Billy get cake but not me?"

These people have been indoctrinated by his regulations for so long. And it all started with a few inevitable rule 34 pictures. By now, we should have rule 36 and general fanworks of K&K.

Are we that scared by a guy who lives in Georgia and isn't rich enough to sue an entire fandom? He's all bark, no bite.
