Mmm... I think I kinda prefer unwilling, just because of the surprise aspect. I mean, if they know it's coming and want it to come, then they'd likely prepare for it and remove their clothes and be waiting for that cock/whatever to grow, as opposed to be caught completely off guard. Though, it is nice when they might have been surprised/unwilling at first, but then feel sooo aroused they can't help but masturbate delightfully.

Oh, and I also prefer when they do eventually adapt to (whether they like it or not), rather than when they were so unwilling that the change basically raped them and feel horrible afterward. I like happy thoughts =D Oh, oh, and not happy thoughts as in they've been brainwashed into it (becoming mentally like the animal), because I do like to retain mentality, if maybe with a few more urges than before.

Although, willing can also be done nicely, if it can retain some of that surprise factor ^^ I remember a manga where a girl wanted to become more like a dog so she could have her dog's pups, but she wasn't expecting the change to be so fast or so dramatic and was caught fumbling through her clothes and trying to figure out her new part XD And afterward she was still happy it had happened, even though she was a bit annoyed that she was to have 100 of the dog's pups before she was done ^^

I think a good balance of unwilling and willing would be right on target. In some cases the subject might really like the animal they're turning into but totally freak at the gender change. Or, they might enjoy the gender change but not the species of animal they are turning into. And then you would have the group that would freak no mater what. But, on the whole I agree with what Xadera said.

mabye it should be willingly going in knowing what is about to happen but suprise and shock and suden realisation of whats happening then it becomes unwilling

I would be say:

If I would be change to a stallion, I would be "willing". I like stallions.
If I would be change to (maybe) a cheetah, I would be "unwilling". I like cheetahs, but I don't to be one of them.
