I'm in trouble... Commissions OPEN

General
Don't ever think for a second that the universe isn't paying attention.
My only sources of income for the past... oh, all of 2010... are as follows:
• $45 a week from the unemployment office
• $25-$60 a week from selling - ahem, excuse me, donating plasma
• occasional, sporadic gifts of $20 or $100 from my way-too-generous-for-her-own-good grandmother
My expenses include $634 in rent, plus electricity ($25-35), dog food and vet care, student loan payments, health care premiums (for my state-sponsored welfare health insurance)... plus, of course, all the little things: dish soap, paper towels, band-aids, trash bags, that kind of thing.
For some strange reason (ok, mostly due to my mate having worked for the Census Bureau for several months) we haven't been evicted, had our electricity shut off, or been harassed by collectors. Somehow, we've always scraped the necessary money together in the nick of time. We're pretty resourceful. And VERY, VERY lucky so far.
With the Iron Artist commissions trickling slowly in, I thought I could look forward to enjoying a bit of security (or something like it) for a while.
The universe did not agree. I got a call this morning from the plasma donation center: the blood sample that they sent to the lab for testing (they do it every few months) came back with a weird protein count. I have to wait anywhere from a few days to a few weeks (at their discretion) to go back in and get re-tested. THEN I have to wait ANOTHER few days/weeks for the lab work to finish up... and hopefully come back with a better protein count this time.
I know that if I improve my diet a bit my bloodwork will come back fine. (There's nothing wrong with my health.) The problem is the wait time. Rent is due in a week and I'm short that $60 that I was going to get from plasma... and, depending on how long the lab takes with my blood, this could end up affecting my ability to make expenses the next month.
I don't want pity. I want COMMISSIONS. The universe seems to think that I can make enough money with the Iron Artist thing to make up for the temporary loss of plasma income. I'd like to prove it right, but I need your help to do so. MAKE ME WORK!
