remixes

what is with techno producers and their obsession with remixes?
i'm looking for some random techno songs (actual techno. i'm not using it as a general term, unlike most people) and all i see are remixes of other songs. i find that really annoying.
it's like
all they do is remix other peoples' songs
and don't attempt to compose their own
or they remix their own songs, for some reason
just compose your own damn songs already.
i like to hear original songs
not the same song that was recorded with a different synthesizer than the original
stop trying to make a club version of a song that was never made for clubs
edit: i forgot to mention this. i'm not against the concept of remixes. i like them. it's just that it really ticks me off when i see PAGES AFTER FUCKING PAGES OF REMIXES WHEN I'M LOOKING FOR ORIGINAL SONGS. that's when it really starts getting annoying.
edit edit: another thing i would like to rant about is samples. i LOVE sampling. it's a fun thing to do. however, there's a sampling technique that's quite prominent in post-industrial music (specifically ebm, aggrotech, etc), and that is taking a sound clip from a movie and DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO IT and sticking it in the mix. that fucking ticks me off. you're basically plagiarizing a movie because you put it in your song without adding any effect to it or cutting it up, etc. it's unoriginal and boring.
that's my rant for the day until i come up with something else to rant about.

FA+

One of the main reasons why I haven't delved deeper into a lot of electronic music is the prevalence of remixes and all these stupid hour-plus megamixes.
