Not On This Account Anymore!!!
...on my costume.
It was nice for a first try and the ears look really awesome.
But I made it too small (worked with a mannequin head that was smaller than mine and forgot to pad it) and the jaw doesn't work right. I got most of the way through the furring and just...decided to quit.
Practice makes perfect, though. Maybe I can salvage the ears and glue them to a headband or something of the sort.
Luckily, I bought from a local fabric store and the faux fur was affordable and great quality (limited color selection, though) so I can easily get more if I want to try again.
helped me out a lot and hopefully her advice will make my next try come out better.
So...I won't be going as a werewolf for halloween. I don't know what I'll go as. Maybe I won't go as anything. Maybe I'll just watch horror movies and stuff my fatass with candy.

I'll attempt an Ace costume just for shits and giggles and use your furring technique...hopefully it will turn out better and I won't completely fail haha.
That sounds good to me, which is probably what I'll do because of stupid laws in my state that says you can't go trick-or-treating if you're over 14. >_<

I'm looking at starting a new fursuit head, but I can't even locate a mannequin head. Not even a shitty little styrofoam one! Its awful *weep* and ordering one online is more for shipping than it is for the actual head.
I got lucky. My gf went to beauty school and managed to snag a shaven one for me.
