This is Vixen, Signing in...
Last Thursday I flew all the way down to Tasmania! Why? For 
carnival's Mad Halloween Shindig!
Got into Tazzie around 7pm, caught a bus to the hostel i was staying at and then trekked around for ages trying to find some food! All i found was some pubs... but i wasnt going to go in alone at 9.30 at night ^^;; So I didnt find food, and went back to sleep =3
Friday I learned that i was heading in the wrong direction for food and found out where all the stores were! Bought some t-shirts and went walking to the docks, sat down at a park for a while until it was time for Carni and Kraden to come pick me up ^_^
Went back to Carni's place for the ArtJam! First ever artjam of this kind and it was alot of good fun!! (n Carni gave me little pressies for myself and my Crazy one!) ^__^ Lots of madness and fun happenings were had!! And met a few awesome peeps including Carni's 'Turm' XD
Later on Carni and Kradz were recording Actfur and I hung about to see how it was all done ^_^ When that was all over, Tom made us FOODS of nom!! And we watched Cloverfield (my first viewing, not as bad as i heard it was! i rather enjoyed it ^^)
After that it was getting late and Carni and Kraden walked me back to the Hostel =3
Saturday I went and had nomfish off one of the floating fishboat/fishshops! It was REALLY NOM!! OMG! Met Carnzorz and Kradz to go to in to town, bought a huge wildlife book and a book called 'the loaded dog' ^^ Then headed to Salmanca markets! Bought a chooky in a nest figure and some tazzie fudge!! <3 And bought carni a crochet banana that she wanted X'D
After that we headed back to Carni's and went to the Airport to pick up Kyle....which we were also, supposed to pick up Matt, but had forgotten ^^;;; So got Matt then we all went along with another car of peeps to the Wildlife park for a BBQ!
Lots of neat little critters and lots of Tazzie devils! <3 And a Cockatoo that give girls 'flowers' which was actually a stick of leaves he picks. He gave them all to Carni XD
At the BBQ a guy came up with a tiny pink baby wombat he *jokingly* said "Got something else for you to put on the barbie!" XD lolz and Kyle fell in love with all the kangaroos XD
After that we took Matt home and then went to Carni's before heading out for dinner. We had PIZZZZAAA
Sunday, Halloween!!
First up I went on a Mountain bike tour up to Mt Wellington and rode down to the Cascade Brewery, then back into town. The only day that it was Pouring with rain and full of fog too! So I didnt see any awesome views and i got SOAKED. But it was alot of good fun! I'd do it again on a day that is sunny =3
Then I dried off and went to help set up for the party. (which of course at this time, it turned sunny and clear X___x
The party was pretty much set up already, and Danny was there ^^ Picked up my costume and came back for Pumpkin Carving! Here in Aus, we dont celebrate halloween much/ at all. No one goes trick or treating that i know of anyway. But some peeps have partys! This is the first year i've seen actual 'carving' pumpkins for sale and Carni had 30 there for everyone to hack into and make neat creations!I made a scared pumpkin and a foxy one ^_^
Then i spent about 1/2hr getting costumed up as peeps started pouring in for the party! I went as the Joker, but a much more feminine version (skirt, stockings long hair ect) Kraden was an awesome doctor with a hate needle of dOOm, Carni was a nurse and Tom was an awesome creepy monster dude with what looked like a twat on his head XD (sorry turm!) But it was really creepy and cool ^^ Danny went as a Mafia man dude, Kyle was the result of a weapons experiment (with blasted hole through the gut and all!) There was lots of awesome costumes there!
Much lollies and booze where had by most! I didnt really drink much, but i can have a good time without the drunkyness =3
At the end of the night I helped pack up the decorations and such, We all walked back to our place of sleep.
Quite tired Monday, for an early rise to meet up with the others for breakfast! Then visited alot of shops and stuff, then went to the Museum of Taz, which was frikkin awesome XD I had to leave to catch a plane, but I'll have to go there again to see the rest!
When leaving, Kradz, Carnz and Danz took me to my Hostel so i could pick my bag up, of which the key person wasnt there X_X and i was freaking out about missing the bus >.>... but he eventually came, got my bag and then went to wait for the bus *phew*
Had to say goodbyes, ;_____; I really enjoyed my time, I would like to see more of taz one day (as this was my first trip there!) Its a really beautiful place to visit ^^ (reminds me of NZ a little, minus the huge mountains)
All in all, it was totally worth the trip! Crazy man couldnt make it, he had work on and bettys. =(
