furfright report and new song

Now that I've had a couple of days to recuperate, it's time for my FurFright 2010 con report (which will be mercifully brief, since I spent most of the weekend working in the Charity Room).
In short, the con kicked ass. With the exception of a few small snags here and there, everything seemed to run pretty smoothly, despite FurFright's continued growth in both attendance and programming.
The charity fundraising effort was an indisputable success. I believe that the total announced at the closing ceremonies was $12,114.78, but that's just a preliminary total. It's only going to go up from there. This is the kind of amount that is typically raised by conventions with three or four times the attendance of our con, so this really speaks to the kindness and the generosity of the people who attend FurFright. If you did anything to help us reach this unbelievable total, no matter how small, thank you. A piece of this victory belongs to you.
And speaking of victory, on a personal note,
sedge and I took home 1st Prize in the Masquerade for our new 
dramaarmada song! If you haven't already, please go check it out! We hope that it becomes one of your favorite things. :)

Yeah, too bad you couldn't make it this year. I really believe it's getting better every year... but that just means that it'll be even better when you can make it again.
And thanks! We really didn't expect the win. We're happy just as long as the audience is laughing, but to get first place too was pretty awesome. :)
