Not On This Account Anymore!!!
So they finally added "Canid - Jackal" to the species list.
This makes for happy. But honestly, to cover all the common species in this fandom it would take a LOOOONG list.
There are plenty of others that are being left out that I, personally, see around a lot more often than some of the other ones already on the list.
- Coyote
- Jaguar
- Cougar/Puma/Mountain Lion
- Bull/Cow (Bovine)
- Weasel (ferret doesn't cover it)
- Hedgehog
- Penguin
- Antelope
- fish/sharks/etc...
If anything should be generalized it should be something like 'Rodent'...I see gerbil, mouse, rat and hamster on the list but there are SO many other rodents out there and no 'Rodent - Other' catagory to stamp them with.
And why are 'leopard' and 'panther' separate? They're the same animal. Similar to a red fox and a silver fox...same animal, different coloration.
And why the fuck is "Apple" on the species list?

The so-called "Florida Panther" also lives here in California. We call it the Mountain Lion (commonly) or puma or cougar.
Funny how a creature can earn different names for living in different areas even if it's the same thing OR looks different than the norm and is therefor mistaken for a completely different species.
I was pleased with the jackal addition. Finally i had a species instead of a generic "other" XD
But you're right, there's definitely alot more popular species that for some reason don't make the list for some reason...

Uh...Fish...
...and so on. Then I wouldn't have a reason to complain about the list including "Mink", "Mouse", and "Badger" but not "Coyote" and "Cougar". The more specific, the longer the list.

I don't know why they took out the ability to make custom species tags to compensate though. *annoyed*

Unicorn
Crocodile (there's an alligator one but no crocodile)
Marsupial - Tasmanian Tiger/Thylacine (see a lot of these)
Shark (these too)
Donkey
...And I wouldn't be surprised if they added a Canid - Ferrox category.
They should also add like...a 'hybrid' category or something.
Or maybe they shouldn't. It would encourage people to make them more often D:
And "Sparkledog" lol.
lol Sparkledog. I would use that category when I draw feral Alex because she becomes a Sparkledog on Ritalin.
She did a few pics and did a couple of them in the "Free headshots" stream a while back. Derpple was the "it" thing for a while.
