I recently added several artist to my watch list on here. I know nothing about them other than I found their art interesting. Very few of them gave me a "hey thanks for watching me" shout, which is Ok, I guess.
But one of them posted a journal this afternoon because they had a question about their car. Since it's something I cold help them with, I posted a brief, but well written reply with my advise. Not only didn't I get a thank you, the journal has been deleted.
Yeah, guess that's the thanks I get...

I just wish I could remember who it was so I could un-watch them, then re-watch them, then un-watch them...

If it was an add to sell something and it was over, I can understand, but I don't understand the constant deleting otherwise.
I figure if it's not important enough to leave up, then don't post it.
The journal deletion without even a "thanks" is odd, though. Of course, not to generalise, but it seems that the majority of the fandom is either really talkative, somewhere in between, or really antisocial.
That is so true! I was just thinking the other day how we're so much more connected to other people and the world these days, yet no one really talks anymore.
Well, I'm gonna keep telling you until you believe me!
I think your a great person, I'm your friend and I care very much for you. I will always be glad to hear from you even if your only up to saying a few words.
It's nice, but I don't care so much about the thanks for the watch/fav's either. I've always been more of a lurker and am trying to change, I want to meet more people and hopefully, make some new friends.
I know I shouldn't let it get to me, but stuff like this makes me feel like I failed.
