May your motherboard survives few more hours. Mine once got hit kind of indirectly. Only 1 out of 2 integrated LAN port got burnt. That, and my 56k modem, my 5.1 cheap Creative sound system, cable modem and router. I have a good protection, but it can't fully effective if the house sickets aren't properly grounded. But that was probably kind of nothing compared to everyone's stuff in the whole block around me. XD;

We do but it kinda hit the power line. Killed a tree and zapped my dad's $1500 computer, and it took out quite a few things in the process. Hell there's even a crater where my mom and dad's phone line is, fixed it now but still KABOOM! c..c it gets weirder though. Brother was litterally shocked and he was just standing on the ground. And we...kinda have roach popcorn in our walls now. x..x ew. Our protection kinda blew the first time we got struck by lightning two weeks prior to the one that hit and took out most of the house. Florida FTL!
