The Wolfie's Back!

and she is doing well! Healing is pretty fast, comparatively to what I was expecting. Without going into too many details, she still has a long way to go and is in pain, but only on pain meds as needed. It feels nice to be able to sleep right again (I havent gotten a good nights sleep since she left for Canada).
In other news, Scamp's benign cancer has taken over the left side of his body, but the vet says he is in very good health. His tumor removal is going run me $423 and I'm currently looking into cheaper options. Hopefully I will get him in for surgery next week.
Other matters: I am officially closing commissions and trades.
I am even tempted to cancel the ones I have due to not having any real motivation/ drive to get them completed, and having had months to get started. This is why I decided not to take money yet. However, it does mean if I do get to your commission and finish it, you won't owe anything. It will be free.
I may open one here and there, but for now nothing.

Also I understand the concept of benign cancer but at the same time if it like takes over you body how the hell does it get to remain benign. i mean benign people are good for you. i do not think this thing grants powers or bonuses to combat or even gives out girl scout cookies.
This morning he was sleeping on the top shelf (which I was surprised since lately he has been avoiding coming up from the bottom of the cage) but his hair was all puffed out (a sign in rats that shows they are in pain, I'm sure you've seen it before). He's still taking food and the vet said he is in good health, so now I am trying my best to find a cheaper surgeon. If it is just a couple hundred I can make that. I want my rat back. I really do. It isn't fair to him to have to deal with that. It would be different if he was in bad health to begin with, then I wouldn't consider the surgery, but even for a three year old rat he is so active I can't just put him down. Both of them are balls of energy that just want to run around and explore when they are outside of the cage. His dad even lived for 4.5 years.

Unfortunately. I really wish they lived longer. Thought ferrets could live upwards of 10 years though.
Handle him frequently, maybe with a camera in hand? I know I handle my boys every day though it has been a while since Scamp came out the cage because I am afraid of hurting him.
i am thinking of doing movies maybe since they get used to the camera that way. and there is no flash involved in that. just got to have someone else play with him while i film. he really does not like to not be on someone when he is out. he heads straight for the cinder blocks under the fish tank if he is not being held. he really loves those things.
