I kind of want a roo character, any suggestions?

(╬ ಠ益ಠ)********************************************** So yeah I kind of want a kangaroo character. I'm thinking I'll actually take the natural route, and that she'll be female (or maybe androgynous herm, like, half and half instead of leaning one way), but other than that I'm still working on it. :3
Any suggestions? What species should I use? Red or grey? Also I think I might call her/it Jo. Unless I decide that's too cheesy or dumb.
Might end up as a 'secondary' fursona thing maybe, but probably not. I think my 'real' animal would actually be a 'roo though I have no fucking real clue why ahahaha. I just think a 'roo fits.

I've only seen the movie, but it seems that I really need to read the comics.
I personally like the old school comics better than the movie, but it's pretty awesome too.
