Jackal or Mutt?

So...I'm pondering changing Ace to a Mutt dog instead of a Leucistic Black-Backed Jackal. Turning him into a mutt will give me a chance to play with features and markings a little more loosely.
I dunno...still thinking on it. I think a mutt fits my personality a little better than a Jackal but...we'll see.

P.S. NO I don't want to just go willy-nilly with the markings on a jackal. I prefer realistic markings to random or sparkledog marks...I'm already pushing it with my oddly specific Leucistic markings on Ace.

Noo stay a jackal! No one cares about markings ='C
well its up to you really. Go with what you like (<---Counterproductive sentence is counter productive)
But if ya do change em PLEASE ya have to keep
the goatee. Ish soo cyoot <3
No one will think badly of you for doing it.
But it can be fun to change them a lot with species switching.
Your decision!
I just like a bit sparkle in mine. lolz
Lol jk. I don't like unbelievable hybrids either.
I guess if you want Ace to be in a realistic world, I can understand the markings issue. The only reason my fursona is black is because of events in a roleplaying game. Heh. I know it isn't realistic. <.< You could always make him part-jackal.
But I say you should do what feels more comfortable. If it makes you feel better to be one or the other, then do it. 'S what I did with my fursona when I was changing her around a bit. And I feel so much happier with her now.
Be a mandarin duck, nature's sparkle animal :B
Sparkleduck.
Would that even work?
There's a lot more flexibility with looks if you go with a mutt/pariah dog, and a lot of them look wild-doggish, dingoish ('cept for the curly tail), so maybe you should go that route. You can keep the overall look and play with stuff more freely that way.
You tend to draw Champ with a much thicker muzzle than a jackal, so that could work out well.
