incoming vent journal. ~_~ this isn't directed at anyone in particular, and especially no one who watches me on this site, but there are some things i've been seeing in the art community in general that just bug me beyond all measure. i really can't stand people who think they're the bee's knees when they really are not. ego trips are BAD and are not respectable at ALL.
here are some things that will not make me respect you as an artist!
1. ing all of your text, or otherwise typing in an unreadable typeface/color/size
2. using comic sans ms unironically
3. using emoticons that do not exist, i.e. `U`, r_r, ^n^, ORZ, otl*
4. using at least one of them after every single sentence.
5. speaking broken english on purpose, and unironically, because all of the people whose art styles you're emulating don't speak english as a first language and you want to be as popular as they are**
6. PRETENDING that english is not your first language.
7. pretending to be japanese.
8. pretending to be younger than you actually are, thus making your skill level look better for your age than it really is.
9. later admitting that you are neither japanese nor fourteen years old.
10. taking critique only from people on your BFFlist, and blocking everyone else.
11. having an actual BFFlist.
12. starting your own fanclub, because you don't have any actual fans outside your immediate circle of friends, but you want it to look like you do.
13. bribing your internet buddies to commission you for prices way more than your skill level is worth
14. closing comments on a picture you know is shitty, but you're uploading anyway for asspats
15. openly requesting asspats.
* - yes, i am aware that "orz" and "OTL" are actual emoticons, and that they represent people that are banging their heads on the ground. "ORZ" and "otl" clearly do not represent this. if you're using those, you fail.
** - no, i'm not being a hypocrite here. yes, my lack of caps (and sometimes punctuation) is intentional, but it's not what i'm referring to. i mean general use of engrish and unintelligible sentence structure.

FA+

and ^n^ makes a face, CLEARLY YOU ARE BLIND. (It's supposed to be that big derp smile anime characters make)
I also agree with all of this
