20 Things I am thankful for in my life...
Yep it's that time of the year again, Thanksgiving time. So here is the list again, edited to fit for this year.
1) My Friends - I am extremely thankful for every last one of my friends. Without them I would be lost. This year especially it would seem as I have grown closer to a few of them, and they really helped me through some rough spots.
2) My Mother - I am thankful to have the mother that I do. Since I was 18 months old it has been me and my mother only. My father had very little involvement in my upbringing. Oh to be sure my father made sure I was never truly in need of anything. But it was always me and mom. For the longest time we hated each other, we loved to hate each other. But we we're all the other had.
3) My Sister - My sister. Oh god did I hate her, and never once did I make any kind of attempt to hide it at all. Things are better now. She needs a positive male role model in her life, and I need my sister.
4) My Creativity - I am extremely thankful for my boundless creativity. It never stops; it is a constant, ongoing force that is a gift as much as a curse. A gift because it usually provides me with wonderful ideas. A curse because it keeps its own hours and often enough I have difficulties putting thought to paper.
5) Art - I am thankful, for the colors, the techniques, the flow, the rhythm, the mood, and the dream. I am thankful for the beginning, the middle and the end. I am thankful for the creative process, and the end result. I am thankful to the muse and the critic. I am thankful to this fickle, loving, vane, and often harsh mistress that is Art. Art is everywhere and for us it is our lives. I hate her and love her at the same time.
6) Reading - I am thankful for the written word. I am thankful to the author that has shared their visions with me, and the journeys they have taken me on. I have been to the most beautiful places on earth and I have been to the deepest pits of hell. I have read verses do complex they made me stop and think. I have read passages that have made me cry, openly and unashamed. I have seen the majesty of dreams. I have been witness to the most depraved acts of sin that humans are capable of as well as seen the depths of the convictions of the lowliest of heroes. I have learned a great deal of life's lessons of right and wrong. Of heroism and villainy. My morals and ethics from books. And all it took was "Once upon a time..."
7) Music - I am thankful for music. It is also a great source of inspiration. If I want to write or draw a specific mood I will listen to music that will encourage that emotional response. All too often I will hear a song and see my characters doing something to it. Like with reading I have heard songs that have made me want to rip the head off the nearest person and spit down there throat. I have listened to songs so sad or so beautiful they have made me cry. Just like art, music defines us, and I like a lot of the definition.
8) Work - I am thankful to have my job. Though those of you who know me have heard me often bitch about it, I am still thankful to have it. Hard to believe that in February it will be three years now that I have been doing it.
9) Video Games - I am extremely thankful for games. Games saved me from doing things I would regret latter on in life. They too have taught me right and wrong. How a person should and should not act. I have played games with stories and characters so believable that they seamed real. Their stories were my stories, their adventures were my adventures. The lessons they learned not only helped them grow, but helped me grow as well. I have played games that have made me laugh, and I have played games that have made me cry. I have played games that have made me happy and proud, I have played games that made me ashamed and raise my fist in anger.
10) Cooking - I am thankful for food, and not because I am fat. I love food; I love the look, the feel, and the smells. I love the tastes, and textures. Nothing can make your day better like a good meal.
11) Movies - I am thankful for movies. I am thankful for the 30 fps per second catching my attention and melting my brain. I am thankful for heroes that are larger than life, and villains too stupid to shut up. I am thankful for things that can be solved with a crooked smile and a lame joke. I am thankful for the good guy always getting the girl, and the bad guys getting what they deserved.
12) Mangas - More than a comic, but less than a book. Great art with great stories.
13) My two hands - I am thankful for my two hands. Were it not for them I would be lost. With them I create whole worlds. I bring life to my imagination and fulfillment to my duties. They hold me up and do my biding. They allow me to communicate with the friends I don't see on a regular (if at all) basis, and allow me to communicate with the one(s) I love most. I would be lost without my hands.
14) Laughter - I am thankful for laughter. It is the single greatest cure in the world and its power is unimaginable.
15) Pets - I am thankful for my Noel. She is a 10lbs white and brown Shih-Tzu. She is the first part of my joy and a great source of happiness. She will always love me and I will always love her.
16) BEER! Sing it with me now! "OH WHAT IS THE MALTED LIQURE, WHAT GETS YOU DRUNKER QUICKER, WHAT COMES BOTTLES OR IN CANS, BEER! CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT, BEER! HOW WE REALLY LOVE IT, BEER! MAKES ME THINK I'M A MAN! BEER! I COULD KISS AND HUG IT, BEER! BUT I'LD RATHER CHUG IT, BEER! TILL MY BELLIES OUT TO HERE! I CAN NOT REFUSE A, BEER! I COULD REALLY USE A BEEEEER! Beer-beer-beer-beer! Beer-beer-beer-beer! Beer-beer-beer-beer! I can't remember how much I have had. I drank a 12 pack; with my day (belch) Thaaaaaaat's my son, the drunken-manly-stud. I'm proud to be his bud! Here have some pretzels! No I'll call it quits. Those things give me the Schlitz. Oh DRINK with your family, DRINK it with your friends, DRINK till your fat stomach distends. BEEEEEEER, it's liquid bread, it's good for. We like to drink till we spew. Who cares if we get fat, I'll drink to that. As we sing once more. WHAT IS THE MALTED LIQURE, WHAT GETS YOU DRUNKER QUICKER, WHAT COMES IN BOTTLES OR IN CANS, BEER! CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT, BEER! HOW WE REALLY LOVE IT, BEER! MAKES ME THINK I'M A MAN! BEER! I COULD KISS AND HUG IT, BEER! BUT I'LD RATHER CHUG IT, BEER! TILL MY BELLIE DISTENDS, BEER! IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL DRINK IN THE WORLD! HUR-RAY!!!" sorry had to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9ROBdkVlPU
17) Karaoke - Yes I have joined the legion of individuals that go out and get wasted, then sing, loudly, proudly, and terribly. LOL! It is great fun though, because nobody cares. Just remember the more you drink the better we all sound.
18) Snow - I am thankful for the cold Fluffy stuff. Without it there is no white Christmas, and no snow-boarding. I am also thankful for whatever inspired me to create the character Snow!
19) Love - Though I may not have experienced love yet in my life. I know it exists. This year I have come the closest yet to being in actual love with someone very special and dear to me. I know that real love is out there, and I have plenty of shining examples of it. A lot of people tell me that I am better off single, and that love hurts. And I know that love can hurt especially when it ends in tragic ways. But I also know how much it hurts to be alone every day. I cannot wait for the day that I am able to hold the one I love and tell her as much.
20) You - Yes you, I am thankful to you. If you are reading this you must know me in some way, shape or form and have helped me along the way. be it from your encouragement, your art, or just being you. You have more than likely inspired me too, and I thank you. I hope that I too have brought at least a little enjoyment to your life.
These are the 20 things I am most thankful for.

and yes I did, it was very nicely done.
Go for it if you want, it ain't copy righted to me.
I don't know if I seen it on any of those, I got it from this song.
Never knew there was a video made for it, first time seeing the video.
BUT, I use the line because I scared the shit out of my sisters asshole father with it.
And just recently again I used it on a drunk customer that was quoting a "Slayer" song to me.
You would be surprised how many people back down when you growl something like that at them.
LOL!
