All our lives suck in some way or another. Maybe your family is abusive. Maybe you recenly lost a loved one. Maybe you're lonely, or confused about your identity. Maybe you've done some things in your life that you regret. Maybe you have a chemical imbalance in your brain. Maybe you can't seem to make ends meet. Maybe you've been struck by some horrible, life-changing misfortune recently. Maybe you're just so depressed that you can't see the silver lining in any cloud.
We all have problems. We all get sad sometimes. I myself have a touch of manic-depressive disorder, among other things. Lately I've been having a bit of a crisis, wondering just what value I have to people. I see documentaries about success stories. Walt Disney and his cartoons, Seth McFarlane and his (unfortunately) well-received humor, novelists and the fandoms they create. And it makes me wonder, just what am I, compared to them? Does what I do really have any lasting impact? Do I really matter at all, in the long run? What will my legacy be? Will I even have one? I don't care about being a millionaire, I just want to make people happy.
I look through my gallery, and I see all the +favs my pictures get, and all the comments and praise you all give me. I've always wanted to leave something behind in this world. Something that people will love and cherish, something that will enrich the lives, and somehow brighten their day when spirits are low.
That's one of the reasons I decided to go with my toony style, and why I want to learn how to animate, and maybe one day be a professional animator/cartoonist. Because it's funny. And when you're feeling down in the dumps, sometimes a good delightful laugh can be just what you need. It brings a little bit of a smile to my face, knowing that in addition to getting your rocks off like with any artist around here... I can actually make you laugh. I'm glad that I can make your lives a little better. It may not snap me out of my poor moods completely. But the fact that I can make people happy with my talents really helps. If your mood improves after having seen my art, then I've done my job. Be sure to check out my journal header and footer quotes.
TL;DR: When I'm feeling down, it cheers me up to know that I can make your days a little better with my art and humor.

"No man is a failure who has friends."
I first started watching you because of the BMFM portrait you did. Hawt mousie cawk.
Now I do not hesitate to say, that while your current artistic endeavor is of limited chroma, it still puts a splash of comic and historic color in my day, whenever I see any new Inkblot posting.
You make it easy to watch you...no, check that: you make it imperative to watch you.
And of course, I have an especial appreciation for your pic descriptions and "dandy boy" role play.
To me? You're already a success. And it only gets better from here.
