Yes, as of tomorrow (Nov. 18) I am going to be in a van, on my way to Georgia for the weekend. Me and a group from my college are going to be crazy college students and protest the School of the Americas. (Google it.) So, yeah. That's where I'll be until Monday afternoon. I don't wanna come back to a journal full of arguments about whether or not I should be protesting SOA. I'm going. That's that. It's too late to change my mind now.

good luck! all i know is that there are "ways" to avoid having to make as many gas-station restroom stops on the way. Leaving the realm of real life, perhaps a thought experiment for a story would be what might happen over time if someone persuaded roadmates on a long car trip to go along with such a proposal.

i can't say i'm surprised. i know nothing about the SOA situation really, but the surest way to lose our rights is by failing to exercise them, so kudos to you in any case for the effort.
