GO GO MONSTER

Dear Furaffinity...
I just finished reading "Go Go Monster" by Taiyo Matsumoto. It's been a long time since a book has made me tear up. This book is absolutely beautiful and the story? I don't wanna tell you guys ANYTHING in hopes that it will preserve the wonder I experienced when I casually browsed through it's pages in the store.
I browsed the pages just for a moment while waiting for a friend to finish up shopping for his Walking Dead issues. At first, I didn't quite understand what was going on. The cover grabbed my attention, with it's colorful monsters and the little boy leading the way. The beginning of the book immerses you in this kid's perspective told in syncopated narration. I was ready to write it off as being too artsy but something about the nature in which the little boy was narrating seemed to grab at me. Needless to say I kept reading at least until my friend was done shopping.
I left the book back up on the shelf and tried not to think about it anymore. I am a very miserly human being and buying a $20 book seemed a bit of a luxury.
But I couldn't stop thinking about it. I talked about it with my friend, i mentioned it when i returned to work, i looked it up online just to see what kinda of reviews it got ( without reading any summaries). EVENTUALLY i broke down, went back, and bought the damned thing.
I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED. There is so much to the story that just pulled me in. I was absolutely in tune with the story. I felt so strong an attachment to the characters that at the end...
I teared.
I wont spoil it for you, but one tear was for the story, another was because I never felt so attached.
HAVE I SOLD IT ENOUGH YET? Buy this book:
