1. I'm the eldest of four children. Somehow my parents fluked into having one child per season. I'm Winter (January), my youngest sister (20) is Spring (May), my baby brother (19) is Summer (July), and my younger sister (23) is Fall (October).
2. Ever since I was eleven years old, I've identified strongly with goth culture and fashion. Specifically, the combination of black with sharp colours like greens, reds, blues, and purples. Corsets, billowing garments, and leather are all kinds of awesome.
3. I currently have seven piercings, and am debating on adding a few more to the collection. My ears are each pierced three times, and I've had my tongue pierced since I was eighteen years old. I also used to have my lower lip pierced with a 14 g hoop.
4. For the past few years I've known that I want to get at least two tattoos. I'm still trying to decide where each will be, though I have the ideas already sorted out.
5. I'm planning a vacation to Europe with my mate for April of next year. We're calling it the 'Origins Tour' because we're going to the places where each of our families hail from, Ireland for my part, and Wales for his.
6. I could probably survive on horror movies as a form of entertainment. I don't really care how bad it is, I'll watch almost anything. I have a pretty big collection of the genre, including a few Japanese ones. Asian horror is friggin' awesome, and Takashi Miike is a genius.
7. My guilty pleasure genre is that of Musicals. If it has singing in it, chances are I've seen and own it. Two of my favorites are Repo! The Genetic Opera and Little Shop of Horrors. If you can combine horror and musicals, you have my equivalent of crack.
8. Though I've never tried it, I'm extremely curious about marijuana. I've also had multiple friends of mine express an interest in getting me stoned, apparently I act like a pot smoker without any natural enhancement. Two of my younger siblings have used or still use weed, so the chances that I'll try it eventually are pretty high. Also worth a laugh, at one point my grandmother offered to grow me some pot in her greenhouse... At Christmas dinner in front of my then boyfriend and now husband.
9. I'm probably one of the most well balanced members of my family. My mother often acts like a child, my father is emotionally absent, one of my sisters will be a dependent forever for her psychological conditions, and my other two siblings consider ambition what makes them get up from their bongs for cheetoes. Let's also clarify, I have OCD tendencies, I'm clinically bigendered, and I routinely withdraw from the remainder of humanity for months at a time outside of work. And I'm the sane one. Think about that. Scary, huh?
