2D Animation programs

I got a question.. the only programs I know of are Flash and Adobe ImageReady. Does anyone know any other ones I can use? Perhaps the easiest one? lol..

What's your favorite program to use?

I want to make 2D animation only right now, not 3D. I know nothing about 3D art, let alone animating it. >_<

I personaly use Macromedia Flash to creat my animations :3

to tell the truth I never tryed out another one but I´m happy with my old flash version |D

Multimedia Fusion 2. You can get a flash converter for it too. It’s expensive, but worth it. There is a hacked version on TPB, but if you e-mail them and ask for deals you can often get a little knocked off the price.

TVPaint is a great program. It's not vector based, so it's like photoshop, except with frames for animating.

after effects is good if your ok fiddeling with some plugins. but yea the best one is flash

I used Toon Boom when I was going to school for 2D animation. I can't say it was the easiest program but for general drawing and animating its easy enough. Kinda works like Adobe Flash but is meant purely for 2D animation.
