i am so tired of leaveing my apartment to get frikking internetz! so i need an answer!!

what is the name of the device that you can plug into your computer so it coverts wired internet into wireless internet? i need to know so i can get this internet on my laptop!

You can buy 'em at Verizon Wireless, though you need a service plan... forget what they're called, but I know you can get em there! :3

I want to say it's a wireless router. Don't quote me on that though. I've been wondering the same thing myself recently and that's what everyone else was calling it. Best check with Best Buy or Fry's first to make sure. They'll know their stuff. By the way, if you have the wired 'net already, you should be able to plug the wireless router in and it'll work automatically. No extra fees or service plan.

hey mint i have an extra wireless usb access, its what you need to plug into your laptop to get access to wireless internet thats already there, thats what you want right? if theres not already wireless internet you need a wireless router, which i could help you set up or purchase, just hit me up in an im, id be happy to help and Ive got quite a bit of training in this area.

no, my laptop already picks up wireless signals. i just need something to convert this comps wired signals into wireless internet. i think its called a USB adaptor :<
